The Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse serves the United States District Court for the Southern District, the United States Marshals Service, the US Magistrate Courts as well as Probation, Pretrial and other court-related functions. It was completed in 1995 with approximately 921,321 gross square feet on 27 stories. The renovation encompasses 84,259 sq.ft., much of it reconstituting space which had been converted to swing space. Richard McElhiney Architects is responsible for the design of the Judges’ Chambers and Circuit Library improvements.
