National Analytical Radiation Environmental Lab Envelope Replacement U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Montgomery, AL
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Montgomery facility is the National Analytical Radiation Environmental Laboratory, or NAREL. As an Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) program laboratory, NAREL provides radiological monitoring data to support Agency activities and radiological emergency response activities. The existing laboratory facilities, completed in 1990, include state-of-the-art radioanalytical laboratory and office space totaling approximately 80,000 sf.
The scope includes design of a new 2 ply modified bitumen roofing system. The work includes new brick façade entrances, complete replacement of the exterior insulated finish system (EIFS) and replacement of exterior metal canopies.
