The purpose of this concept is to create a central, unified location for various student groups which are currently spread through other buildings on campus.

Barnes is an historic building in a central location on campus which has experienced numerous renovations in the past. Barnes allows the student groups to be well-integrated into a high traffic area on campus. The program includes offices for student groups, shared conference rooms, a reception area, and student gathering spaces. The program of each student group was evaluated and a layout was developed for the building, accommodating all groups and required support spaces.
