Oliver Brych has twenty-seven years’ experience. He attended Pratt Institute and the Art Center College of Design.
He has worked for fourteen years at Richard McElhiney Architects. He became an Associate in 2017.
Oliver has been project manager for nine educational projects and twelve civic projects. Five of his projects have included the renovation or restoration of historic structures. Projects include: GSA/Luis A Ferré U.S. Courtroom and USMS Facilities, GSA/Daniel Patrick Moynihan US Courthouse–Chambers, GSA/ Clemente Ruiz-Nazario US Courthouse, GSA/Jose V. Toledo Federal Building and US Courthouse, GSA/Duberstein US Courthouse Renovation, Cornell University/Gates Hall Renovation for Faculty Growth, and the Cornell University/McGraw Hall Renovation Pre-Project Study.
Roberto has over five years of professional experience. He received his Architecture degree from Universidad de Sonora in 2017, and has worked in Mexico and Washington, DC prior to New York.
Roberto has had experience working with residential, multi-family, commercial, and institutional building types. He is well-versed in all phases of architectural projects, from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
Roberto joined RMA in 2022 and is currently working on projects for the State University of New York at Stony Brook and for Cornell University.
Cecelia has over five years of professional experience in the field of Architecture. She received her Bachelors and Master’s in Architecture from Andrews University in Michigan where she had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Italy, France, London and Sweden, and participate in a design-build mission project in Bolivia.
Cecelia’s expertise includes developing projects through all design phases, including contributions in Construction. She is well versed in producing drawings, in both 2D and 3D modeling. She has worked on a diverse range of project types, including educational, hospitality, commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Prior to joining RMA, she has worked for DCAK-MSA Architecture and STV Inc. Her past projects include, K-12 projects for the SCA, Cornell Fine Arts Library while with STV Inc.; and Millers Pond Townhouses, North Hempstead Beach Restaurant, and Westchester County Fire Training Center with DCAK-MSA. Cecelia joined RMA in 2022 and has worked on projects at Cornell University.
Amy Cole has over fourteen years of professional experience. She received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from SUNY Alfred State College and a Master of Science in Design from UMass Amherst. She is a registered architect in New York State.
Projects at Richard McElhiney Architects LLC include work with the Environmental Protection Agency and SUNY Farmingdale College. In addition to these, her expertise in code, zoning, and filing is incredibly useful to many other projects throughout the firm.
Prior to joining RMA, Amy worked for a Brooklyn-based architect for over seven years where she was involved in all phases of design from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. She also led their permitting, zoning, and building code review and filings ensuring a smooth transition from their initial concept through completion. Amy began her professional experience as a project director at a boutique NYC code consultancy guiding complex residential and commercial projects through various NYC agencies. She holds filing representative licenses for the NYC Department of Buildings and New York Fire Department.
Mary has over six years of professional experience in the field of Architecture. She received her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Kentucky in 2017. She has worked on a wide range of project types including residential, commercial office, multi-family, and historic preservation.
Mary specializing in the development and management of BIM models and producing construction drawings over each phase of design development. Prior to joining RMA, she has worked for WorK Architecture + Design in Louisville, KY and Crawford Builders in Lexington, KY.
Select projects include: The West in Louisville, KY and The Dunlap in Paducah, KY.
Mary joined RMA in 2017, and rejoined again in 2022 where she is currently working on the Rehabilitation of the Welcome Center of Laffin Hall for Farmingdale State University.
Nataliya has over seven years of experience in the field of Architecture. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology.
Nataliya’s expertise includes developing CAD and Revit drawings and models for a diverse range of project types, including educational, hospitality, commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Prior to joining RMA, she has worked for Macrae Gibson Architects, American & International Design Inc, and STV Inc.
Select projects include: South Beach Psychiatric Center in Staten Island, and an Intake Facility in Boston while with STV Inc.; and the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island while with American & International Designs Inc.
Nataliya joined RMA in 2019, where she is currently working on the Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University.
William has been practicing architecture for over a decade. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. He has worked as Project Architect and Project Manager on a variety of project types throughout his career, with a focus in the educational sector. He is a registered Architect in New York.
He started his career in 2009 in Pittsburgh, PA at HHSDR Architects & Engineers working primarily on K-12 projects in the region. In 2016 he began working at Richard McElhiney Architects where he gained experience on civic and institutional projects.
He has design experience ranging from building interior reorganizations and additions, building energy improvement and infrastructure projects, and new construction. He is involved in all phases of design from concept studies through Construction Documents and on-site Construction Administration. In 2019, William became an Associate Principal of the firm.

Karl Lehrke AIA is a registered architect with over 30 years of experience. He graduated with Distinction from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1985. In 1993, under the Mehlorn and Bockius Scholarships, he received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts.
Karl has worked with several prominent architecture firms including: Bentz Thompson Rietow, Weiss/Manfredi, Kliment Halsband Architects and Beyer Blinder Belle. He was Design Principal and Vice President at Helpern Architects prior to joining Richard McElhiney Architects LLC in 2021.
Through his professional career, for many public institutions and private clients, Karl has designed new and rehabilitated buildings and master plans of all project types through all project phases. His work has won dozens of awards for its design and historic preservation. His selected notable projects include: Carnegie Hall Master Plan, Dan M. Russell Jr. US Courthouse, Conrad B. Duberstein US Courthouse, John Jay College Natatorium Renovation, AC Hotel Times Square, Princeton University Athletic ECAP Complex and Con Edison Sherman Creek Service Center.
Karl is LEED-accredited by the US Green Building Council. He has served on several national American Institute of Architects (AIA) design awards juries, taught design at the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture, and is a frequent invited guest design critic at many prominent architecture programs across the country. He is a long-time member of the AIA and has served on several AIANY Program Committees. Additionally, Karl supports the New York community through his strategic initiatives leadership at his local church.
Karl prides himself on delivering intelligent, critical and creative solutions for a wide range of architectural challenges. He works collegially with a vision for design excellence. Projects are developed in collaboration with clients, staff, engineers and stakeholders by listening carefully, advancing options, considering alternate points of view and building consensus. He demands high standards at all project scales at every phase. And Karl strives for creative solutions which are evocative, champion an economy of means and are intimately tied to their function and performance.
Nick has over 12 years of professional experience in the A-E industry. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 2009 and is a registered architect in New York State.
Prior to joining RMA in 2019, Nick worked for a Brooklyn-based architect as well as for an Engineering firm where he had first-hand experience working on architectural, structural and MEP projects. Throughout his career, Nick has worked on a range of renovation and new-construction projects including residential, commercial, educational and institutional projects. He has been involved in all phases of design from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. Current projects include work with Maimonides Medical Center, the Environmental Protection Agency and various residential clients.
Mary started her career in Architecture as the controller of a hospitality design firm in 1985. Since then she has worked for several accomplished architectural firms. Mary started working for Richard McElhiney Architects in 2003 and her role has expanded as the company has grown. Her main focus is assisting Richard McElhiney with project accounting.
