Electrical & Computer Engineering Study Cornell University Ithaca, NY

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE) within the College of Engineering has approximately 280 undergraduates, 310 graduate students, 42 faculty, and 50 staff. The department’s home is in Phillips Hall where a majority of the faculty and staff are accommodated, and the majority of teaching and research take place. The ECE also occupies spaces within Duffield and Rhodes Hall.

The Study will develop a space program for ECE’s 150,000sf in order to gain clarity on ECE space needs, and benchmark against peer institutions. Space types in the Study include: teaching spaces, several types of research labs, offices, as well as lounges and meeting spaces.
